We were recently asked by a client whether their website was optimised for Google’s AI Overview. The short answer? If your website is optimised for search engines—particularly Google—it already has the potential to appear in AI Overviews.

We recently saw this in action with one of our clients, Care in Kent, who ranks on the first page for the search term “tea and toast diet.” Google’s AI Overview cited them multiple times alongside another source, Crossroads Hospice.   • If you’re writing about a topic, referencing and linking to authoritative sources can strengthen credibility.

  • Whilst we need to adapt our content, we must remember that AI is just a tool and should not be used as a replacement for creativity and authority on a subject.
